Samburu and Lake Magadi - The Special 5, Hides and Flamingos
This 10 day photo safari takes you to two of Kenya’s gems.
A bit removed from the standard Kenya safari circuit, Samburu radiates an atmopshere of peacefulness and serenity. Here we have great chances of spending time with lions, cheetahs, elephants and giraffes, but the area is particularly well-known for a few animal species that you can see almost nowhere else in Africa, such as the Gerenuk, the Beisa oryx, the Grevy zebra, the Reticulated giraffe and the Somali ostrich.
In Samburu we will also stay a couple of nights in a tented camp by the river, that also offers a night photography hide. This will be exclusive for our group during our stay there.
Lake Magadi is famous for its flamingos. We will be staying close to the lake in Lentorre Lodge, that we will have exclusively for our group. Here we can use a day and night hide, and we will be making an excursion to the shore of Lake Magadi or Lake Natron for flamingo photography. A few helicopter flights over the colourful Lake Magadi and Lake Natron are an option. This is straight from Lentorre Lodge and comes highly recommended!
